Meet Christa

Christa is a licensed acupuncturist and board-certified herbalist with a Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She graduated valedictorian from Pacific College of Health and Sciences in New York City where she completed over 3,300 hours of clinical and didactical hours. Currently, she is in the process of completing her Doctorate in Acupuncture with Chinese Herbal Medicine Specialization. She is a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).  In addition, she has over 8 years of yoga teaching experience and 16 years of meditation study and practice.

While living in New York, Christa worked for the Yinova Center. There, she developed an expertise in the treatment of reproductive health and fertility. She especially enjoys working with couples and individuals during the preconception and postpartum periods. Additionally, she specializes in the treatment of mental wellness and digestive disorders. She is fascinated by the gut-brain connection from both a Chinese and Western medicine perspective. When treating patients with these conditions, she takes an integrative approach to provide comprehensive care.

Christa has dedicated the last decade to the study of practices designed to calm the nervous system and promote deep relaxation. She utilizes Chinese Medicine, restorative yoga, and meditation to help patients shift out of chronic stress and into a space where healing is possible. She shares these therapies with our community because she knows that life is beautiful and it is also hard. But, perhaps, by admitting our humanity - by slowing down and giving ourselves permission to rest - we can begin to feel better collectively.

Christa truly believes that each individual knows what will help them to feel better. It may be out of sight, but it’s deep down in their bones. In the treatment space, she considers her role to be that of a supportive partner. She cheers you on and waits for you to discover what feels like your medicine. She empowers and educates patients to have agency in their own healing processes. Above all, she prioritizes deep listening, safety, and a healthy sense of humor.
